My Love and My Light
My husband and I originally met when we were sixteen years old. Five years later we got married. And now, 10 years into our marriage, we have two boys under two. It only felt right to build a Tiny Tags stack that represents everything we’ve been through together. From supporting each other through thick and thin, owning our own business, and now creating our own little family together!
I decided to get the Mini Dog Tag Necklace to symbolize me and my husband, because it started with us! The front holds our wedding date and the stone of the month we got married, while the back holds symbols to represent our infinite love. It’s a constant reminder of how much we love each other and that we’ll always be together.
After I had my first son, I decided to get the Script Mama Nameplate Necklace now that I'm a mama, and of course another Mini Dog Tag! The front is engraved with his name and birthstone, however I decided to add something extra special on the back, my favorite nickname that I call him, "my love." He was first to make me a mama, and the love I felt as a mother was unlike anything I have ever experienced before. It’s overwhelming yet empowering at the same time. He is and always will be my love.
Life continued on and I got pregnant with my second little boy! When I went into labor, I knew the hardest part was really going to be that my first born couldn't be there with me. It was the longest I had ever been away from him before and that was emotional for me. I wore my Tiny Tags during the birth of my second son, so that my first born was still right there with me. This was such a comfort, and it really kept him him close to my heart during this exciting family moment.
Of course I had to add another Mini Dog Tag to the collection for my second little guy! It only felt right to personalize it the same way - his name, birthstone, and my favorite nickname for him, "my light." That is exactly what he has been for us since day one, a ray of light. He’s SUCH a happy and precious baby. His smile cuts through anything and everything and just instantly warms my heart, no matter how I may feel or how tough the day has been.
